John Drew Colt

John Drew Colt (September 9, 1913 Mamaroneck-June 6, 1975 Bristol) was an American actor.

He was born in Mamaroneck, New York and was the son of the famous playwright and actor, John Drew Colt Sr. He made his acting debut in 1933 in the play "The Royal Family" which was directed by his father. He went on to appear in several other plays before making his film debut in 1948 in "Rope". Over the course of his career, Colt appeared in over 50 films, including "The High and the Mighty" and "Three Violent People". He was also a prolific television actor and appeared in several popular shows including "Bonanza" and "Gunsmoke". Colt continued to work in theater, television and film until his death in 1975 at the age of 61.
