He started his career in theater in the 1940s and eventually transitioned to television and film. He appeared in several popular TV shows of the 1950s and 1960s, including "The Twilight Zone" and "The Andy Griffith Show." He also had a recurring role on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" in the 1970s.
In addition to his acting career, Allen was also a successful businessman, owning and operating several hotels and casinos in Las Vegas. He was an active member of the Las Vegas community and served on the board of directors for numerous organizations.
Allen retired from acting in the 1980s and devoted his time to philanthropy and charity work. He was known for his generosity and supported many causes, including education and the arts.
