Richard Fiske (November 20, 1915 Shelton-August 10, 1944 La Croix-Avranchin) also known as Thomas Richard Potts was an American actor.
Born in Connecticut, Fiske studied drama at Yale University before beginning his career in theatre. He appeared in a number of Broadway productions before transitioning to film in the 1940s. Fiske was best known for his roles in the films "The Mad Doctor" (1940), "South of Tahiti" (1941), and "The Payoff" (1942). He also had a recurring role on the radio show "The Adventures of Ellery Queen."
However, Fiske's promising career was cut short when he enlisted in the Army during World War II. He served as a captain in the 83rd Infantry Division, and was killed in action during the Battle of Normandy in 1944. Fiske was awarded the Purple Heart for his service.
