He also made many television appearances in popular shows like "The Twilight Zone" and "Perry Mason." Devon was a versatile actor who could play both heroic and villainous characters with ease. Along with acting, he dabbled in screenwriting, penning the script for the 1969 film "Junior Bonner." Despite being a prolific actor, Devon never achieved leading man status, but was a well-respected character actor in Hollywood. Devon retired from acting in the 1990s and resided with his family in Mill Valley, where he passed away in 2010 at the age of 83.
