Born in Montreal, Canada, Garon moved with her family to the United States as a child. Her career in entertainment began on the vaudeville stage, where she danced and sang. She transitioned to film in 1923 and appeared in over 70 films throughout her career. Her most notable roles include "The Cohens and Kellys" (1926), "The Docks of New York" (1928), and "The Flying Deuces" (1939). Garon also appeared in a number of silent films and played supporting roles in early talkies.
