Jordan is best known for his epic fantasy book series, The Wheel of Time. Jordan also wrote several other works of fantasy, including the Fallon series and the Conan the Barbarian novels. Before becoming a full-time writer, Jordan served two tours in Vietnam with the United States Army and worked as a nuclear engineer.
