Jordan is best known for his epic fantasy book series, The Wheel of Time. He wrote the first book, The Eye of the World, in 1990 and the final book, A Memory of Light, was completed by Brandon Sanderson after Jordan's death. The Wheel of Time has sold millions of copies worldwide and has been adapted into a television series set to premiere in 2021. Jordan also wrote several other works of fantasy, including the Fallon series and the Conan the Barbarian novels. Before becoming a full-time writer, Jordan served two tours in Vietnam with the United States Army and worked as a nuclear engineer.
