Mary Maguire
Mary Maguire (February 22, 1919 Melbourne-May 18, 1974 Long Beach) also known as Hélène Teresa Maguire, Peggy Maguire or Helene Maguire was an Australian actor. She had one child, Michael Gordon-Canning.
Maguire began her acting career in Australia with the Melbourne Little Theatre and later moved to England to work in the West End. In 1933, she starred in her first film, The Crime at Blossoms, and continued to work in British films throughout the 1930s. In 1940, she moved to Hollywood where she appeared in several films including The Saint in Palm Springs and The Great John L. Maguire retired from acting in 1942 and went on to become an accomplished artist with several solo exhibitions in California. She passed away in 1974 in Long Beach, California.
