Maximilian Steiner (August 28, 1839 Buda-May 29, 1880) was an Austrian actor and theater manager. He had two children, Gabor Steiner and Franz Steiner.

Maximilian Steiner was born into a family of actors and grew up in the theater industry. He began his acting career at a young age, performing in plays and operettas at various theaters in Vienna. In 1859, he joined the Thalia Theater in Graz as an actor, and later became the theater's manager.

Steiner's success as a manager led him to own and operate his own theaters in Vienna, Budapest, and Prague. He was known for his innovative productions and his ability to attract the best talent in the industry.

In addition to his work in the theater, Steiner was also a writer and composer, and composed music for several productions. He died at the age of 40 from a heart attack, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most successful and influential theater managers of his time.
