Gussy Holl was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1888 to Austrian parents. She began her career as a soprano singer, performing in operas and operettas in Vienna, Berlin, and elsewhere in Germany. Holl also made several recordings, including popular songs like "Ich bin die fesche Lola" and "Ich liebe Dich."
In addition to her singing career, Holl also acted in films and on stage. She appeared in several silent films in the early 1900s, transitioning to talkies in the 1930s. Holl also acted in theater productions, both in Austria and abroad.
