Dinko Tucakovic

Dinko Tucakovic (June 7, 1960 Zenica-February 19, 2013 Belgrade) was a Bosnian film director, screenwriter, actor and film producer.

He began his career in the 1980s as a documentary filmmaker, before moving on to produce and direct feature films. Tucakovic was known for his social and political commentaries in his films, often focusing on the struggles of everyday people in Bosnia and Herzegovina during and after the war. He won numerous awards for his work, including Best Film at the Sarajevo Film Festival and the Grand Prix at the Zagreb Film Festival. In addition to his work in film, Tucakovic was also an accomplished playwright and novelist. He passed away at the age of 52 from complications related to heart surgery.
