Nedžad Ibrišimović

Nedžad Ibrišimović (October 20, 1940 Sarajevo-September 15, 2011) was a Bosnian writer and sculptor.

He was known for his works that reflected the experiences of the Bosniak people during the Bosnian War. Ibrišimović was also a critic of the government and a human rights advocate. He was imprisoned twice, once for political reasons and once for defending the rights of his fellow Bosniaks. His sculptures often depicted the struggles of his people, and he received numerous awards for his work. Ibrišimović's writings include poetry, essays, and a memoir titled "Sarajevo: Exodus of a City". He passed away in 2011 in Sarajevo.
