Cazuza (April 4, 1958 Rio de Janeiro-July 7, 1990 Rio de Janeiro) otherwise known as Agenor Miranda Araújo Neto or Agenor de Miranda Araújo Neto was a Brazilian singer, songwriter, film score composer and actor.

Born to a middle-class family, Cazuza was exposed to music at an early age, which culminated in him forming his first band at the age of 18. After joining the band Barão Vermelho in 1981, he quickly rose to fame as the lead vocalist and songwriter. Cazuza's music was known for its poetic lyrics and captured the spirit of a generation living under a repressive regime in Brazil.

Despite being diagnosed with HIV in 1987, Cazuza continued to produce music and influence Brazilian popular culture until his untimely death in 1990 at the age of 32. He left behind a legacy of powerful music that continues to inspire and resonate with Brazilians today.
