Before his acting career, Lamont worked as a hairdresser and also appeared on the reality competition show The Salon. In addition to his television work, Lamont has also worked on stage, appearing in productions of The Steamie and Sleeping Beauty. He is also known for his advocacy work on LGBTQ+ issues, having been a regular contributor on the BBC Radio Scotland program Janice Forsyth Show.

Harry Macqueen

Harry Macqueen (January 17, 1985-) is a British actor, screenwriter and film director.

Macqueen was born in England and grew up in Cornwall. After completing his education, he pursued his passion for acting and also started writing and directing short films. He gained recognition for his work as an actor in the series "The Passing Bells" and "Me Before You".

In 2014, Macqueen wrote and directed his first feature film, "Hinterland", which premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and won the Audience Award. The film was also nominated for a BIFA Award for Best Debut Director.

Macqueen's second feature film, "Supernova", premiered at the San Sebastian International Film Festival in 2020, receiving critical acclaim for its sensitive portrayal of a couple dealing with the effects of early onset dementia.

Aside from his film work, Macqueen is also an ambassador for the LGBT community and a vocal advocate for climate change action.
