Ilia Pavlov (August 6, 1960 Bulgaria-March 7, 2003 Sofia) was a Bulgarian businessperson.
Ilia Pavlov was the founder of Multigroup, a Bulgarian conglomerate active in areas including fuel retail, distribution, construction materials, real estate, and media. He was one of the wealthiest and most powerful businessmen in Bulgaria during the 1990s and 2000s. However, his business activities were also subject to controversies and allegations of corruption. Pavlov was shot dead in the garage of his Sofia home in 2003, in what was believed to be a contract killing related to his business interests. The investigation into his murder, known as the "Multigroup case," lasted for years and involved numerous high-profile arrests and trials.
He died as a result of assassination.
