Walter Huston (April 5, 1883 Toronto-April 7, 1950 Hollywood) also known as Walter Houghston, Walter Houston, Walter Thomas Huston or Walter Thomas Houghston was a Canadian actor, civil engineer and singer. His child is called John Huston.

Walter Huston enjoyed a successful career in Hollywood, appearing in over 70 films during the 1920s to the 1940s. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 1948 film "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre". Prior to his acting career, he worked as a civil engineer, and he also had a passion for singing. He performed in several Broadway musicals, including "Knickerbocker Holiday" and "The Cat and the Fiddle". Huston was married twice, and his son John Huston also became a famous Hollywood director.
