MacMillan began her acting career in the 1950s, appearing in various TV shows and movies. However, she is best known for her work in voice acting, providing the voices for many beloved animated characters. She voiced Sweet Polly Purebred in the animated TV series "Underdog," Gumby's best friend, Prickle, in "The Gumby Show," and the original voice of Casper the Friendly Ghost in the 1960s animated series.
