Carrie Le Mieux began her career in vaudeville, performing as a singer and dancer. She later transitioned into acting and became a prominent figure in the silent film era. She starred in numerous films, including "The Unchastened Woman" and "The Joyous Liar". Le Mieux was known for her comedic timing and physical comedy, and was often paired with actors such as Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.

Despite her success, Le Mieux's personal life was tumultuous. She was married several times and struggled with alcohol addiction. Tragically, she died at the young age of 42 from pneumonia complicated by alcoholism.
