Dianne Heatherington

Dianne Heatherington (May 14, 1948 Fort Rouge, Winnipeg-October 22, 1996 Toronto) a.k.a. Dianne Mae Heatherington was a Canadian singer, actor and businessperson.

Genres she performed include Rock music.

She began her career in the 1960s as a member of the girl group The Sugar Shoppe, which had a hit single called "Canada". Heatherington later embarked on a solo career in the 1970s and released several albums, including "Magic Carpet Ride" and "Dianne Heatherington". In addition to her music career, she also appeared in various films and television series, including "The Littlest Hobo" and "Seeing Things".

In the 1980s, Heatherington switched gears and became a successful businesswoman. She founded her own advertising agency, D.H. Advertising, which served clients such as McDonald's and Labatt Brewing Company. Despite her success in business, Heatherington continued to perform and release music throughout her life. She passed away in 1996 at the age of 48 due to complications from a stroke.
