Peter Pan was widely considered the first Asian American male actor to gain prominence in Hollywood during the 1930s and 1940s. He became known for his roles in films such as "The General Died at Dawn" (1936), "Dangerous to Know" (1938), and "Disputed Passage" (1939). Born in China, he immigrated to the United States as a teenager to pursue his acting career. Pan later went on to work in radio as a producer and actor, as well as a voice actor in animated films. He was also active in the Chinese American community, serving as president of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance. Pan passed away in 1990 in Los Angeles at the age of 86.
