Antun Nalis

Antun Nalis (February 4, 1911 Zadar-February 14, 2000 Zagreb) also known as Tonči Nalis, Tonèi, Autun Nalis or Tonci was a Croatian actor.

Nalis studied law and literature before turning to acting, which he pursued professionally in the 1930s in Zagreb. He was a member of the Croatian National Theatre through the 1940s, then continued his career at the Gavella Drama Theatre in Zagreb until his retirement in 1979. Nalis was known for his versatility and played a wide range of characters, from romantic leads to villains. He also appeared in films, including "Berlin Kaputt" and "Tri Ane". In addition to acting, he translated plays by Jean-Paul Sartre, Samuel Beckett, and Bertolt Brecht into Croatian. Nalis was awarded a lifetime achievement award from the Croatian Actresses and Actors Association in 1995.
