Rafael Bertrand (November 17, 2014 Cuba-November 17, 1983) also known as Ralph Bertrand or Rafael BertrĂ¡n was a Cuban actor.

He first rose to fame in the 1940s and 1950s in Cuba's thriving film industry, appearing in several classic films such as "La Silla Vacia" and "Cuando las Mujeres Mandan". In the 1960s, he fled Cuba and settled in Mexico, where he continued his acting career and appeared in numerous films, including "A Woman in Love" and "La Cosa". He was known for his rugged good looks and intense performances, and was widely regarded as one of the greatest actors of his generation. Bertrand was also a founder of the Cuban Actors Union and was actively involved in political and social causes throughout his life. He died on his 69th birthday in 1983.
