Michal Hofbauer (January 6, 1964 Prague-January 10, 2013 Prague) also known as Michael Hofbauer was a Czechoslovakian actor.

He graduated from DAMU, the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Hofbauer worked in a variety of film, television and theater productions. He was one of the most popular actors of his time in the Czech Republic, appearing in films such as "The Elementary School" and "Gympl," and in TV series like "Big Boss" and "Street". He also worked as a voice actor and dubber. Hofbauer received numerous awards for his work, including a Best Actor award at the Montreal World Film Festival for his role in "The Elementary School". Unfortunately, Hofbauer passed away in 2013 at the young age of 49.
