Roland Varno

Roland Varno (March 15, 1908 Utrecht-May 24, 1996 Lancaster) also known as Jacob Frederik Vuerhard or Rolant Varno was a Dutch actor. He had two children, Jill Taggart and Martin Varno.

Throughout his career, Varno appeared in more than 40 films, starting in the 1930s. He is perhaps best known for his roles in the horror films "Mark of the Vampire" (1935) and "The Devil Bat" (1940). Varno also had an active career in theater, appearing in productions in both Europe and the United States. In addition to his work on stage and screen, he also voiced radio dramas and worked as a producer for Dutch television. Varno was married to actress Marion Clayton Anderson until their divorce in 1951. He passed away in Lancaster, California at the age of 88.
