Paula de Waart

Paula de Waart (January 1, 1876 Flushing-December 2, 1938 The Hague) a.k.a. Paulina Alida Maria De Waart was a Dutch actor.

She began her acting career in 1900 and was a member of various theater companies in the Netherlands. One of her most notable performances was as Mrs. Alving in a 1907 production of Henrik Ibsen's "Ghosts". De Waart was praised for her ability to bring complex characters to life on stage. She also appeared in several Dutch films in the 1930s, including "Bleeke Bet" (1934) and "Een Dubbelleven" (1937). In addition to her acting career, De Waart was also involved in the women's suffrage movement and was a member of the Dutch Association for Women's Suffrage. She passed away in 1938 in The Hague, at the age of 62.
