He was best known for his work as a solo artist and his collaborations with other well-known musicians such as Vangelis. Roussos began his career in the mid-1960s as a member of the band The Idols, and later became the lead singer of the progressive rock group Aphrodite's Child. He achieved international success as a solo artist with hits such as "Forever and Ever" and "Goodbye, My Love, Goodbye".
