He is best known as the guitarist for the iconic punk rock band Sex Pistols, which formed in 1975. Jones played on all of the band's studio albums including "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols," which is widely considered one of the most influential albums in the history of punk rock. After the Sex Pistols disbanded in 1978, Jones went on to have a successful solo career and also played with other bands such as The Professionals and Chequered Past.
