In the 1920s, she moved to the United States and became a prominent stage actress on Broadway, appearing in numerous productions including "The Vinegar Tree" and "The Great Broxopp." Harris also appeared in several Hollywood films, including "The Buccaneer" and "The Toast of New York." In addition to her work on stage and screen, she was also an accomplished acting teacher, with many of her students going on to successful careers in the industry.
