Jean Kent (June 29, 1921 Brixton-November 30, 2013 Bury St Edmunds) a.k.a. Joan Summerfield, Joan Mildred Summerfield, Peggy Summers, Joan Kent or Jean Carr was an English actor.
Kent began her acting career in the 1930s as a dancer and chorus girl in various productions. She made her film debut in 1935 and went on to appear in over 40 films, including "Adventures of a Young Man" (1962), "The Prince and the Showgirl" (1957) and "The Browning Version" (1951). She was also a popular television performer, and appeared in a number of series and made-for-TV movies, including "Upstairs, Downstairs" and "Coronation Street." Kent retired from acting in the early 1990s, and was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2013 for her services to drama.
