He is best known for his work as the keyboardist and guitarist for the gothic rock band The March Violets, which he co-founded in 1981. After The March Violets disbanded in 1987, Jugg became a member of the band The Sisters of Mercy, playing guitar and keyboards on their 1990 album "Vision Thing" and touring with them extensively.
Jugg has also worked on various solo projects, including his soundtrack work for the 2005 film "Hex" and his solo album "Sick Puppy" released in 2006. He has collaborated with a variety of artists, including Spacetime Continuum, Pigface, and The Mission.
