Aman Andom

Aman Andom (June 21, 1924 Eritrea-November 23, 1974 Addis Ababa) a.k.a. Aman Mikael Andom was an Eritrean politician.

He served as the Prime Minister of Ethiopia from 1974 until his death later that year. Prior to his appointment as Prime Minister, Andom was a distinguished military officer in the Imperial Ethiopian Army and played a key role in the Ethiopian Revolution of 1974. He was one of the leaders of the military coup that overthrew Emperor Haile Selassie and established a provisional government. In his brief tenure as Prime Minister, Andom worked to address Ethiopia's economic and social issues, but his efforts were cut short by his untimely death. Despite his short time in office, Andom is remembered as a significant figure in Ethiopian history and an important player in the country's transition to democracy.
