Princess Ijigayehu Amha Selassie (September 4, 1934 Dessie-April 5, 1977 Addis Ababa) was an Ethiopian personality.
She was the daughter of Emperor Haile Selassie, Ethiopia's last sovereign monarch. She was the last surviving child of Haile Selassie and his wife, Empress Menen Asfaw. Princess Ijigayehu was described as a very private and reserved person, and although she was a member of the Imperial family, she largely stayed out of the public spotlight.
In her later years, she suffered from mental illness and was reportedly under the care of her mother, Empress Menen. Princess Ijigayehu passed away at the age of 42 due to an illness in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She was buried in the crypt at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa, where the majority of the Ethiopian Royal Family is interred.
