Dee Lampton began his career as an actor in the early 1910s, appearing in a number of stage productions before transitioning to the burgeoning film industry. He starred in several silent films throughout the mid-1910s, and his talent and charisma quickly brought him to prominence. By 1917, he had signed a contract with Famous Players-Lasky, one of the biggest film studios of the era.
Despite his promising career trajectory, Dee's life was tragically cut short when he contracted influenza during the 1918 flu pandemic. He recuperated and returned to acting briefly, but his health continued to decline. He passed away in New York City on September 2, 1919, at the age of just 20. Despite his early demise, Dee Lampton remains an important figure in early Hollywood history.
