Ancans was one of the most renowned actors in Latvia, having appeared in numerous films and theatre productions. He studied acting at the Latvian Academy of Culture and began his career at the Daile Theatre in Riga. He also acted in many television series and movies, including the popular Latvian TV series "Tautas Balsojums" (People's Vote). In addition to his acting talent, Ancans was also a skilled musician, playing several instruments such as the trumpet and accordion. He was awarded numerous honors for his contributions to Latvian culture, including the Order of the Three Stars. Ancans passed away in 2011 at the age of 67.
