Houston rose to international fame in the 1980s and 1990s, selling over 200 million records worldwide. She is one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Houston's powerful and soulful vocal range earned her numerous awards, including six Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, and 22 American Music Awards.
Some of her most popular hits include "I Will Always Love You," "Greatest Love of All," and "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)." In addition to her music career, Houston also acted in several films, including "The Bodyguard" and "Waiting to Exhale."

She then transitioned to more mature roles in films such as "Rebel Without a Cause" (1955), "Splendor in the Grass" (1961), and "West Side Story" (1961), earning three Academy Award nominations along the way.

Marie-France Pisier (May 10, 1944 Da Lat-April 24, 2011 Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer) also known as Pisier was a French actor, screenwriter, film director, writer and television director. Her children are called Iris Funck-Brentano and Mathieu Funck-Brentano.
Pisier began her acting career in the early 1960s, with her breakout role coming in 1962's "The Gentleman from Epsom". She went on to star in numerous French films throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including "Love on a Pillow" (1962), "The War Is Over" (1966), and "Cousin cousine" (1975), for which she received a César Award nomination for Best Actress.
In addition to acting, Pisier also ventured into screenwriting and filmmaking. She co-wrote the screenplay for the 1975 film "Cousin cousine", and in 1984 she directed her first film, "Le Bal". Her second film as a director, "The Governor's Party" (1999), was selected for the official competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
Pisier was known for her intelligence and beauty, and was a muse for several French filmmakers, including François Truffaut and Alain Robbe-Grillet. In addition to her film work, she also wrote several novels, including "Le Temps des amours" (1984) and "Le Mystère Novak" (2007).
Pisier's death in 2011 was ruled a suicide by drowning in her swimming pool. She was 66 years old.

In 1994, she retired from modeling and wrote a memoir "Katoucha: In My Flesh" which spoke about her personal experiences with female genital mutilation, a practice that is still common in some parts of Africa. After her retirement, Katoucha became an advocate for the fight against female genital mutilation and worked with organizations such as the United Nations to end the practice. Sadly, she was reported missing in January 2008 and her body was found in the Seine River in February 2008. The cause of her death was ruled as accidental drowning.
