Rene Farrait (November 2, 1967 San Juan-) also known as René Farrait or Proyecto M is a Puerto Rican singer. He has two children, Naiomi Farrait and Alana Farrait.
Rene Farrait rose to fame as a member of the popular Puerto Rican boy band Menudo in the 1980s. He joined the group in 1980 and became a lead vocalist. During his time with Menudo, the band released several albums and singles that were successful both in Puerto Rico and internationally. Rene left Menudo in 1984 to pursue a solo career and later formed his own band, Proyecto M. He released several albums as a solo artist and with Proyecto M. In addition to his music career, Rene is also an actor and has appeared in several films and TV shows. He has been actively involved in humanitarian work and has supported various charities, including organizations that help disadvantaged children.
After leaving Menudo, Rene Farrait continued to release successful albums in Puerto Rico. His debut solo album, "Más Allá" (Beyond), was released in 1984 and spawned several hit songs.
