Eduardo de Castro

Eduardo de Castro (July 7, 1907 Sampaloc, Manila-November 17, 1955 Baguio) also known as Marvin Edward Gardner was a Filipino actor and film director. He had two children, Marvin Edward Gardner Jr. and William Gardner.

Eduardo de Castro starred in over 50 films during his career, which began in the 1920s. He often played leading roles in action and adventure films, and his most notable performances include his roles in the films Zamboanga (1937), Wanted: Juan (1939), and Garrison 13 (1940). He also directed a number of films and was known for his creative vision and attention to detail. Alongside his successful film career, de Castro was also a talented musician and composer, and he wrote several hit songs during the 1940s. Despite his numerous accomplishments, de Castro's life was marked by tragedy. He passed away at the age of 48 in a car accident in Baguio.
