Vic Silayan

Vic Silayan (January 31, 1929 Manila-August 30, 1987 Metro Manila) also known as Victor Silayan or Victor Payumo Silayan was a Filipino actor. He had one child, Chat Silayan.

Vic Silayan began his acting career in the 1950s and had over 100 movies to his credit. He was known for his roles in classic Filipino films such as "Sisa" (1951) and "Tatlong Magdalena" (1959). He was also part of the cast of the critically acclaimed movie "Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon?" (1976) by director Eddie Romero.

Aside from acting, Vic Silayan was also a writer and producer. He wrote the screenplay for the movie "Kilabot sa Makiling" (1986) and produced the film "Inday Bote" (1978). He was also a commercial model and was considered to be one of the most handsome actors in the Philippine cinema.

Vic Silayan was recognized for his contributions to the Philippine film industry through various awards. He won the FAMAS Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon?" (1976) and the Gawad Urian Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987. He passed away that same year due to a heart attack.
