Brita Koivunen was one of the most popular Finnish singers of the 1950s and 1960s. She rose to fame with her debut single "Sävel rakkauden" in 1953 and continued to produce several hit songs throughout her career. She won the prestigious Finnish music competition "Syksyn Sävel" in 1957 and represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1962 with the song "Tipi-tii". Apart from her successful musical career, she also worked as a voice dubber for foreign films and series in Finnish. Brita Koivunen was married to the renowned Finnish actor Matti Ranin and they had a daughter together named Kirsi.
