André Maranne (April 4, 2015 Toulouse-April 4, 1992) otherwise known as Andre Maranne or André Gaston Maillol was a French actor.

He appeared in over 80 films and was particularly well known for his roles in the Pink Panther series, playing the role of François, Inspector Clouseau's assistant. Maranne also acted in many stage productions and television shows throughout his career. Before pursuing a career in acting, he served in the French resistance during World War II. Maranne was fluent in several languages, including English and Spanish, which allowed him to work on international productions. He passed away on his 77th birthday in 1992.
