She was also a stage actor and worked with some of the most renowned directors and playwrights of her time. In addition to her acting career, Alice was also a writer and published several books. She was awarded the Legion of Honour in 1966 for her contribution to French cinema. Alice Cocéa passed away in 1970 at the age of 70.
