Goderdzi Chokheli (October 2, 1954 Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic-November 16, 2007) was a Georgian writer.
He was born in the small town of Lentekhi, located in the mountainous region of Svaneti. Chokheli started his career as a journalist and worked for several Georgian newspapers before becoming a full-time writer. His first book, "The White Hen and Other Stories," was published in 1977 and won critical acclaim in the literary circles of Georgia.
Throughout his career, Chokheli published several collections of stories, novels, and plays. His writings were mainly focused on the lives of people living in the mountainous regions of Georgia, and he explored the themes of folklore, traditions, and identity in his works.
