Ferdinand von Alten (April 13, 1885 Saint Petersburg-March 17, 1933 Dessau) also known as Baron von Lamezan auf Altenhofen or Theo Von Alten was a German actor.

Ferdinand von Alten came from a noble family and initially pursued a career in the military, serving in World War I. However, he later turned to acting and became a prominent stage and film actor in Germany during the 1920s and 1930s. He appeared in over 60 films, including "The Golem" (1920) and "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" (1920). Von Alten was known for his versatility and ability to play a wide range of characters, from heroic leading men to villainous roles. Despite his success, von Alten struggled with alcoholism and died at the age of 47.
