Vinod ER began his career as a composer for the film "Mehboob Ki Mehndi" in 1971. He went on to work on many other successful films such as "Amar Akbar Anthony", "Muqaddar Ka Sikandar" and "Qurbani". He won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for the film "Amar Akbar Anthony" in 1978.
In addition to his work as a composer, Vinod ER also acted in a few films. He made his on-screen debut in the film "Do Yaar" in 1956 and went on to act in several other movies such as "Kala Bazar" and "Chhalia".
