Tanuja began her acting career in 1950 as a child artist with the film 'Chhabili'. She made her debut as a leading actress in the film 'Hamari Yaad Aayegi' in 1961. Tanuja went on to act in several successful films such as 'Baharen Phir Bhi Aayengi', 'Jewel Thief', 'Haathi Mere Saathi', 'Anubhav' and many more.
