Geetu Mohandas was born on February 14th, 1981 in Kannur, Kerala, India. She started her acting career as a child artist with the Malayalam film "Onnu Muthal Poojaym Vare" in 1986. She later went on to act in several films in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi languages.
