Helen Christie

Helen Christie (October 22, 1914 India-March 17, 1995 Worthing) was an Indian actor.

She was born in Allahabad, India to British parents and spent most of her childhood in England. Christie began her acting career in the 1930s and appeared in over 20 films, including major British productions such as "Jamaica Inn" and "The Thief of Bagdad". In 1937, she married the film director Brian Desmond Hurst and they had two children together. Christie also worked on stage, including a successful run in the West End production of "The Barretts of Wimpole Street". During World War II, she devoted her time to entertaining troops and supporting war efforts. After the war, Christie largely retired from acting to focus on raising her children. She died in 1995 at the age of 80.
