Anita Guha began her acting career in 1946 with the film "Prithvi Vallabh". She became known for her performances in mythological films like "Mahabharat" and "Ramayana". Guha also acted in Bengali and Bhojpuri films. In addition to acting, she was also a trained classical singer and had released several devotional albums. Guha was honored with the "Kalakar Award" for her contribution to Indian cinema. She remained active in the film industry until her death in 2007.
