Bijan Mofid

Bijan Mofid (May 31, 1935 Tehran-November 2, 1984 Los Angeles) was an Iranian playwright, theatre director, novelist, poet, actor and composer. His children are called Afshin Mofid, Shima Mofid, Nima Mofid and Mazda Mofid.

Bijan Mofid was known for his contributions to Iranian modern theatre, particularly in the genres of absurdist and existentialist drama. He directed and wrote several plays, including "The Embrace of the Serpent" and "The Clown and the Queen". In addition to his theatrical work, Mofid was also a prolific writer, publishing numerous novels, poetry collections, and essays.
