He became known for playing Irish stereotypes and villains in western films, and also played character roles in popular films such as "The Roaring Twenties" and "Gone with the Wind." Despite his success in acting, he never gave up his law practice and continued to practice law throughout his career. Corrigan was also active in the Irish-American community and helped to establish the Irish Film Society in Los Angeles.

O'Flynn began his career in the theater before transitioning to film in the 1940s. He appeared in over 100 films throughout his career, often playing tough and imposing characters. Some of his notable roles include Mr. Novak in the 1955 film "Marty" and Father Paul in the 1966 film "Hawaii". O'Flynn was also a regular guest star on television shows, including "Gunsmoke", "The Twilight Zone", and "Bonanza". In addition to acting, O'Flynn also wrote and directed several films. He passed away in 1982 at the age of 75.
