He began studying piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music when he was just 6 years old. In 1994, at the age of 17, he won first prize at the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition in Switzerland, launching his international career. Since then, he has performed with major orchestras around the world, including the London Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. He has also won numerous awards and accolades for his recordings, including a Gramophone Award for his album of Mozart piano sonatas. Joe Doyle

Joe Doyle (May 8, 1977-) also known as Doyle, Joe or Joseph Doyle is an Irish bassist.

He is best known as the current bassist for the alternative rock band, Biffy Clyro. Doyle joined the band in 2020, following the departure of former bassist, James Johnston. Prior to joining Biffy Clyro, Doyle was a member of the rock band, the Temperance Movement. He also played bass for the band, LaFaro.

Doyle's musical career started in the Northern Irish music scene in the early 2000s. He played with several local bands before joining LaFaro in 2008. The band released two albums, and were known for their energetic live performances.

In 2013, Doyle joined the Temperance Movement as their bassist. The band released three albums during his time with them, and supported acts such as The Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath on tour.

Doyle's addition to Biffy Clyro has been praised by fans and critics, and the band's latest album, "A Celebration of Endings," features his bass playing prominently.
